Chapter 9. How to define your User Groups

  9.1 Defining User Groups

The first step to defining user groups is defining the group layout. To manage users groups within phpIP, click on the Admin Console menu item. Clicking Group Add will bring up a new form. The name field is required.

9.2 Removing the group

To remove a group within phpIP click on Group Remove this will bring up a list of Groups to choose from. Click on the group that you would like to remove from phpIP.

9.3 Group update

To update the IP group within phpIP click on Group Update this will bring up a list of prefixes and the associated group. Click on [Edit] on the prefix you wish to associate a group to. Select the group from the dropdown list and click on [UPDATE], this will update the database and redirect you to the group update.

9.4 Update local and LDAP user group

To update user group association within phpIP click on [Edit] under User Management. Select the group from the dropdown list and click on [UPDATE].
